The Family Class Model: Mentalisation-Based Multi Family Therapy Groups

The Family Class Model in schools has been developed over the last thirty years by Brenda McHugh and Neil Dawson, at the Marlborough Family Education Service. This new Practitioner Training Programme has been adapted by them, specifically for delivery using our exciting new internet based training portal, as part of the innovative mental health service provided by The Anna Freud School Services.

Mentalization-focused Multi Family Groups in Schools: a practical guide for how to set up and run

Date: 1st – 2nd July 2014 and 20th – 21st October 2014

The course will present a framework for how to set up and successfully run multi family groups in school. Participants will be shown examples of best practice and will be given a full explanation of the theoretical principles that underpin the approach.
